Flint Energies operates load management each year in an effort to control energy costs during the hottest summer days. In 2024, load management periods could occur on any day between May 1 and October 31, between the hours of 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please make sure field access roads to load management switches are clear to pass.
To work this program, it is critical that Flint communicates with our agricultural participants in the most efficient and reliable manner, which means utilizing automated notifications, text messaging and emails. If you participate in load management, please complete this form by May 7, 2024, even if you will not make any changes to your previously supplied contacts. In addition to normal load management notifications, provisional messages will be delivered on Monday and Friday of each week.
Flint Energies will conduct a test of our load management program on Wednesday, May 8, 2024; your load management switch(es) will operate for testing between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Our alternate test date is Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
