The Full STEAM Ahead grant, sponsored by the Flint Energies Foundation and Flint Energies, awards money to schools who have developed a creative project that energizes learning in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts and/or mathematics.
Flint Energies values education and training in our service area and understands that schools may have limited funding to pursue the projects needed to educate the young minds in our local communities. By embracing cooperative principle #5, Education, Training and Information, we are able to extend our resources to support STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) projects and initiatives.
The Full STEAM Ahead program distributes grants to PreK-12 public or private schools located in the Co-op’s 17-county service territory.
Two schools will be selected to win a $3,000 grant to fund their proposed project.
All grant money for this program comes from unclaimed capital credits designated for education programs.
